SMALL KITCHEN DESIGN
IAN'S KITCHEN
WHY EXETER KITCHEN STORE?
Ian was in the market for a new kitchen and, at the time of visiting Exeter Kitchen Store (EKS), was actually on the way to another showroom. However, he saw the signage and decided to stop by. Because Ian was armed with a floor plan and measurements, he was able to get a design and quote on his initial visit. Impressed with the service, he decided to finish his kitchen shopping trip there.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
To stay in keeping with his 1920’s home, Ian was looking for a kitchen door style that offered a traditional approach. He easily selected one he liked and would fit in with the era of his house. Due to the small kitchen space, Ian appreciated how his Designer made effective use of the room available. Extra tall wall units were included, and a pull-out storage mechanism was added to a corner unit, to make sure every inch of available space was taken advantage of.
To come to a decision on door colour, Ian took home samples to see how they looked in the space and whether they worked with his flooring options. In the end, he opted for Dove Grey.
FAVOURITE PART OF THE KITCHEN
Ian loves how each element of the kitchen works together effortlessly. He also foinds the appliances and their functions make everything so convenient, this is particularly noticeable after previously having a rather out-of-date kitchen.

“Having a new kitchen in the house has completely transformed the atmosphere of the house. It’s made it feel warmer, it’s refreshed, it makes it feel so much more homely… I’m absolutely delighted with it.”
