OPEN PLAN KITCHEN DESIGN
JAYNE'S KITCHEN
WHY EXETER KITCHEN STORE?
When Jayne visited the showroom and saw the quality of EKS kitchens she knew she liked the look of the product. In addition to the quality and design, she appreciated the concise range. With other companies, Jayne found she was overwhelmed with options and found it hard to decide, whereas EKS offered clearer options.
THE PROCESS
Jayne went into Exeter Kitchen Store without a clear idea of a design, however she did know specific elements she wished to have.
She wanted a working island with a hob as well as a built-in, eye-level oven, an American-style fridge and a wine fridge.
When they saw the Milbourne display, Jayne and her partner liked the traditional style, the dark hue and the price point. The dark colour worked well in their large space, due to the windows in the living area letting in lots of natural light that extended to the open-plan kitchen.
Their designer worked the kitchen around a central beam within the room without compromising on the design and gave detailed information on appliances, which allowed them to understand the differences in models.
FAVOURITE PART OF THE KITCHEN
Jayne’s favourite parts of the kitchen include the wine fridge and larder. Jayne likes the larder because of its pull-out drawers, so the entire contents are clearly displayed. Jayne also finds the narrow spice drawers in the island useful because they make every jar visible. The layout of the kitchen is perfect for large gatherings, especially at Christmas.

“From what we saw in the showroom right through to the design, service and the quality of the kitchen we’ve got as the final product, we couldn’t be more pleased with what they’ve supplied, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anybody.”
