MODERN SHAKER KITCHEN
CLAIRE & ANDY'S KITCHEN
WHY EXETER KITCHEN STORE?
Exeter Kitchen Store was recommended to Claire and Andy by a colleague of Claire’s, and Andy recognised the name as he regularly drives through Marsh Barton for work. They had visited other kitchen showrooms and were disappointed each time and felt that the designer hadn’t listened to what they’d said. When they visited Exeter Kitchen Store, they were provided with a plan which they could take away with them and felt their designer really understood their vision.
THE PROCESS
When Claire and Andy were in the initial stages of planning their kitchen, they couldn’t agree on a design. They were at odds with what they wanted, Andy was drawn to something ultra-modern, whilst Claire wanted a more current design. As their house was around 11 years old, Claire and Andy were after a design that was suitable for its style and age. Therefore, they opted for a shaker door that was versatile enough to take on a contemporary design.
FAVOURITE PART OF THE KITCHEN
One of Claire’s favourite parts of the kitchen is the bi-fold doors used on the wall units, as they lift up out of the way, removing the risk of someone bumping their head. They also chose soft-close doors as Claire and Andy never had doors like before. This made a significant impact on their mornings, as it made early starts quieter!
