THE PROCESS

Having moved into a gorgeous Gothic-style townhouse, Mike’s family quickly realised that something was missing - a communal, social space where everyone could come together! Determined to fix that, Mike decided to extend their home, creating the perfect spot for a bright and airy open-plan kitchen.

Keeping things local (we love to see it!), Mike came to Exeter Kitchen Store to make his kitchen dreams a reality. Jack, our Assistant Showroom Manager, jumped at the chance to take on the project and suggested a U-shaped kitchen layout with bar seating – ideal for keeping the social vibes going.

With a modern aesthetic in mind, Mike picked our Impressions Linium door in Light Grey and Dust Grey - a stylish and timeless combo that makes a statement without stealing the show. These colours work together like a dream, leaving the space feeling fresh while still letting the family add their own personality and flair!

Of course, no dream kitchen would be complete without some seriously impressive features. Featuring integrated BOSCH appliances, a Quooker tap, a magic corner unit for those awkward spaces, sleek glass drawerbox sides, a handy pull-out waste bin and a sparkling 20mm Quartz Valencia worktop that practically glows.

The addition of a venting hob meant there was no need for an overhead extractor, keeping the U-shaped return clear and open – a small touch that really enhances the flow and sociability of the space.
