WHY EXETER KITCHEN STORE?
Mrs May was looking to renovate her kitchen and spotted Exeter Kitchen Store on her way back from another kitchen company in Marsh Barton. She was drawn to the fact that all of our kitchens are manufactured right here in Exeter and have been since 1975!
THE PROCESS
Initially unsure of what she was looking for, Mrs May was able to sit down with our experienced designer Dom Fullick and talk through our numerous different door and colour options. They took time to go through and consider what would work well together.
The result is a wonderfully balanced kitchen comprised of our Mornington real-wood shaker doors, in a combination of Hartforth Blue and Dove Grey finished with cup and knob handles. The kitchen island also includes plenty of base draws to allow the couple to maximise their storage opportunities.
The dark Hartforth blue is complimented by the Ammonite Glacier White worktops supplied by Steve Bristow Masonry, who are local to us.
The integrated appliances include a Neff venting hob that has a built-in extractor fan and the fridge freezer that sits between a built-in bookshelves and integrated wine rack. The Quooker Fusion Square boiling water tap in Patinated Brass is the perfect compliment to the Belfast style sink.
THE UTILITY
Mr and Mrs May also have a hidden utility room at the end of their kitchen. After speaking with Dom, they opted to have the same Mornington cabinets and worktops in their utility as an extension of the kitchen. Their 2-year-old Toy Poodle, Alfie, even got his very own dog bed area built into the cabinet design which he absolutely loves!
